FontThe use of different typefaces can radically alter the look and feel of a design. In a corporate branding exercise it is important to minimise variables to help achieve the consistency that is required to underpin the brand. The Arial family is to be used for all in-house documents, letters, faxes, memos, agendas and reports. Arial is a clean and legible typeface and universally available electronically. It is a system font on both PCs and Apple Macs allowing for consistency inside and outside the service. There is enough flexibility within any family of fonts to provide for design requirements such as headings, sub headings, body text and footnotes. In extenuating circumstances a supplementary font may be required. In this case another sans serif font such as Gill Sans or Tahoma may be used to support Arial. |
